About Causeway Bay

Causeway Bay is Hong Kong at its most intense — a non-stop whirlwind of shopping malls, neon signs, street-side stalls, and crowds that give the area an electric, almost addictive energy. It's consistently ranked among the most expensive retail streets in the world, yet just around the corner you'll find affordable local eateries and hidden gems.

Our Causeway Bay property sits on the 15th floor of Paterson Building, just one minute from Causeway Bay MTR station. You're literally above the action — Times Square, Sogo, and Hysan Place are all within a 5-minute walk. Victoria Park, the city's largest urban green space, is right across the road, offering a welcome escape from the urban intensity.

The dining scene here is incredibly diverse. From Michelin-starred Chinese restaurants to Japanese ramen shops, Korean BBQ joints, and Hong Kong-style diners, you'll never eat at the same place twice. The area also has some of the city's best dessert spots and bubble tea shops — a serious consideration in Hong Kong.

Causeway Bay is also one of the best-connected areas in Hong Kong. The MTR station serves both the Island Line and the cross-harbour line, meaning you can reach Tsim Sha Tsui in 5 minutes and Central in 10. Multiple bus routes pass through, and taxis are always available.

This neighbourhood is for those who thrive on urban energy. It's not the quietest spot — this is Hong Kong's Times Square — but for young professionals and social butterflies who want to be at the centre of it all, Causeway Bay is hard to beat.

Questions about Causeway Bay

Is Causeway Bay expensive to live in?
The shopping malls are upscale, but daily living costs (food, transport, groceries) are comparable to other Hong Kong neighbourhoods. Our co-living rates include all bills, so your monthly cost is predictable.
How far is Victoria Park?
Victoria Park is literally across the road from Paterson Building. It's a 2-minute walk to the park entrance. Great for morning jogs, weekend tai chi, or just reading on the grass.
What MTR lines serve Causeway Bay?
The Island Line runs through Causeway Bay MTR. For cross-harbour travel, walk to Tin Hau station (5 minutes) or take a bus through the Cross-Harbour Tunnel.
Is it too crowded?
The streets can be busy, especially on weekends. But being on the 15th floor means your home is a peaceful retreat above it all. And the crowds thin out significantly on weekday mornings and late evenings.
