About Tin Hau

Our Tin Hau property is located in the Comfort Garden building near Fortress Hill MTR, in a predominantly local residential area on the eastern side of Hong Kong Island. This is the Hong Kong that most tourists never see — real, residential, and refreshingly affordable.

Fortress Hill MTR station is just two minutes away on the Island Line, making it easy to reach Central (6 stops) or Causeway Bay (2 stops) whenever you need to. But the beauty of this area is that you don't need to leave often — everything for daily life is right at your doorstep.

King's Road, the main thoroughfare, is lined with supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, and local restaurants serving everything from congee and noodles to Japanese curry and Thai food. The nearby Java Road Cooked Food Market is a legendary dai pai dong (open-air food hall) where you can eat like a local for under HK$50.

Victoria Park is a short walk west, offering a green escape for morning runs, tai chi, or weekend relaxation. The Tin Hau area also has several community sports facilities, including public swimming pools and badminton courts.

This property suits those who prefer a quieter, more local living experience. You're trading the buzz of Central or Causeway Bay for authenticity, affordability, and a genuine neighbourhood feel. It's popular with longer-term residents and remote workers who appreciate the calm during working hours.

Questions about Tin Hau

Is Fortress Hill the same as Tin Hau?
They're adjacent neighbourhoods. Our property is technically in the Fortress Hill area (near Fortress Hill MTR), but it's commonly referred to as the Tin Hau area. Both Fortress Hill and Tin Hau MTR stations are within walking distance.
Is it far from the city centre?
Not at all. Causeway Bay is 2 MTR stops away, and Central is 6 stops. The total journey to Central takes about 12 minutes by MTR.
What's the area like?
Quiet and residential with a strong local character. It's a real neighbourhood where most residents are local Hong Kongers. You'll find authentic food, friendly shopkeepers, and a slower pace than the commercial districts.
Is there a lift?
Yes, Comfort Garden is a residential tower with a lobby and lift. The property is on the 9th floor.
What's the food scene like?
Authentic and affordable. King's Road has dozens of local restaurants, and the Java Road Cooked Food Market is one of the best dai pai dong experiences on Hong Kong Island.
